Harmony Spiritual Life Center

About Our
Church History

We are part of the Universal Harmony Foundation.  The foundation's philosophy and mission is to present spiritual truth in a "universal" manner and to emphasize "harmony" in the individual path of Life-and-Living.

Harmony Metaphysical Church (HMC) was founded in 1962 by Reverend Isla Lippincott and Reverend Roberta Curtis.  They joined Universal Harmony Foundation in Seminole, Florida and conducted services out of their living room (which is now the Gifts of Harmony Bookstore) meeting with people of like mind.

In 1990 Reverend Donna Jeanne Guerra and her mother Reverend Jeanne Wilhelm succeeded Reverend Lippincott.  Reverend Donna Jeanne Guerra was the pastor of HMC from 1990 to August 7, 2009.   She arrived at HMC in 1975 and eventually began a two year seminary program at our mother church, Universal Harmony Foundation, which led to her ordination.

Reverend Guerra's philosophy was "Like minds, different paths, one place."  HMC brings in teaching from all religions including Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Taoist, and American Indians beliefs.
The tradition continues with Reverend Sheila Blanco-Pedrosa as the current pastor pushing Harmony's members to expand their minds and find their own path.

Meet Harmony's Pastor

Thomas Jefferson said, "It is in our lives and not our words that our religions must be read."

Reverend Sheila Blanco-Pedrosa has been a member of Harmony Metaphysical Church (HMC) since 1993 and received her ministerial ordination at HMC from her mentor, Reverend Donna Jeanne Guerra in 2005.  She obtained her Reiki Master status from Reverend Guerra and she is a Quantum Touch Practitioner as well.

Reverend Pedrosa obtained her Baccalaureate degree from the University of St. Francis and has been a Registered Nurse for 33 years.  Her specialty is Critical Care; she is Charge Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital, a certified CPR instructor and an educator as well.  She is an active member of the Spiritual Care Team at the hospital, ministering to patients, their families, and other hospital staff members when called upon.

She sits on the board for the Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health Inc. and is the mother of three.

Reverend Sheila states, "Peace and blessings to all my fellow lightworkers.  Remember, you can't be a wimp and walk the path of a metaphysician.  You will be challenged, shaken up, and awakened on this spiritual path.  Understand that sometimes the only thing God asks you to do is to hold your light.  Though we are many, there is only ONE of us here!  Peace."
