The news we have all been waiting to hear...mom left the rehab center today!! My mother had the biggest grin on her face when I pulled her name tag off the door at the rehab center and gave it to her. She gave her roommate, Marilyn, a hug and told her goodbye. It was a bitter sweet moment my friends. When we arrived at her home she used the walker to assist her ambulation. She looked at the front door and in a tone that was almost inaudible she said, "Home". I have to admit I could not stop the flow of tears for I was so blessed to be a part of that truly holy moment. 2.5 months ago she stepped out of her home and today she stepped back into it. What a day of celebration my friends.
Please accept my heartfelt thanks for the prayers, cards, letters, healing energy, and LOVE you have so unselfishly shared with me and my mom. You have held my family up when I felt that my world was crashing to the ground. By the grace of God I'm still standing.
To each of you; those that I know, and those that I don't know....I love you, I thank you, I bless you.
